Emma’s career began at a leading City firm, where she provided Employment law advice to individuals and commercial clients across a range of industry sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, fashion, charity, and hospitality.
Later, transitioning into an in-house legal team at an international engineering and construction company, Emma developed a 'hands-on' commercial approach to legal problem-solving. Having spent time client-side immersed in the operations and culture of a business, Emma understands intuitively what clients seek in a legal advisor.
Emma’s recent work includes:
- providing strategic employment advice and employee relations support to an international engineering and construction company
- drafting, negotiating and advising on settlement agreements for international financial institutions
- advising on Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing
- advising both individuals and commercial clients on disciplinary and grievances procedures, redundancy, data protection issues and working time
- drafting and advising on policies and contractual documentation
- handling data subject access requests
